If you are scanning a QR code from a person's mobile device, ensure their device's brightness is turned up and the QR code is clearly visible.
Accessibility features such as "dark mode" or "colour inversion" can prevent the QR code from being read.
Cracks in the device's display may prevent the QR code from being properly scanned.
If the QR code is printed, ensure the QR code is brightly lit and is clearly visible in a good quality print.
When scanning, ensure that the QR code and your camera are not tilted. The QR code cannot be read if held at an angle.
Hold your phone so that the QR code is centred inside the frame. For best results, hold your phone about 30cms away and slowly move towards the QR code.
